Directed by: Laura Messinger

Play synopsis:

Adam is a geeky college undergrad who is amiably ambling though life until he meets Evelyn an intense, sexy, and compelling MFA candidate working on her thesis. As the two become closer a strange power dynamic emerges as Evelyn molds and manipulates Adam in a twisted retelling of Pygmalion. The little changes he makes for her become more extreme and disturbing as he gives into her seductive spell and the promise of perfection. Adam’s friends are drawn into the sick web as well leading to a series of power plays and mind games. The show ends with Evelyn’s thesis defense where we learn that Adam has been her art project. She has used him as a living piece of sculpture that she has shaped to her will. The audience is left with Adam wondering if anything they shared was real.
